Features and Improvements
The following items are new features and improvements in Distrix System Builder 2.3.
New Features
- Added server and agent support for the UDP protocol with autodiscovery in Distrix Core Services, Distrix System Builder, and Distrix System Manager.
- Added the ability to associate hardware abstraction interfaces with an agent from Distrix System Builder and generate code to use them.
- Added various missing agent functions to the generated C# agent code.
- Added documentation to the generated C# agent code.
- Object description is now exported along with objects.
- Added the ability to set the bandwidth of a given connection, which will be used for optimizing multiple connection scenarios.
Enhancements
- Changed code generation timestamp to the ISO standard date format.
- Added various agent helper methods to the C# agent.
- Added hardware flow control support to the serial abstraction.
- Added more documentation to the generated models for C, C#, and Java.
- Added support for generating code that uses an external run loop.
- Added support for logging into the licensing application using an email address instead of a user name.
- Added support for marking processes to be auto-started by the Process Manager.
- Added the ability to start a client on the local server by specifying a target server UUID of 0.
- Added agent metadata to generated conversion modules.
